In my role at Curio I love the challenge of working in a big, diverse team to develop sensitive, creative and sustainable solutions for heritage projects. Heritage is fascinating to me as it combines so many things: the environment, history, culture, knowledge, power, design, art, people, communities and development.

My training is in Philosophy and Museums and Heritage Studies and I have worked in many areas of heritage management including research, interpretation, curation, exhibition development, content development, videography, community engagement and collaborative design.

A successful heritage project for me is one in which people make connections, are astonished, learn more about each other and their connection to the environment and the past and maybe change their actions. I’m inspired by American nature interpreter Enos Mills who said we conserve and interpret heritage ‘to illuminate and reveal the alluring world.’
